Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. How can I get started?
- A.Click here
- Q. What are the technical requirements to play?
- A. You need at least 8 staff and one manager/principal to help serve as a judge. We form your group into 3 or more teams, and at least one person on each team must have email access.
- Q. Is it really FREE?
- A.Yes. The only thing you are responsible for are the prizes for your own staff.
- Q. What's the 10-minute scavenger hunt game like? Is it really fun?
- A.Imagine you're sitting with your team at the meeting. All week long there has been a great storyline about people in the school leading double lives, secret prizes, secret agents, and crazy missions. It's been a fun week. Today is the finale and you've already played Name That Tune, competed in a talent competition, won points during a hilarious distraction trivia game, and solved a few riddles. Here comes the next challenge: “The team that wins my Grand Secret Prize must demonstrate that they are tenacious when it comes to helping others. Here's your challenge: Every year Autism Services holds a summer camp for kids and they always need help with sponsorships. Your team will have 10 minutes to use your phones, your texts, your emails, or any other method you can think of to see how many people you can get to go to the website CampDakota.ORG and click on the donation button. The team who gets the most donations during these 10 minutes will win this contest. BUT USE STRATEGY! Is it better to go for lots of smaller donations or go for one or two big ones? You’re free to call anyone you want: friends, rich uncles, or even businesses! I’ve set us up on the website so it will track our donations. So tell everyone you can think of to go to www.CampDakota.org and then select our school from the dropdown and your Country, and that way your team will get the credit.” Of course, once the time starts, that's when the twists begin. After two minutes you'll announce, "I'll give 2 bonus points for any pledge you get from someone whose name starts with the letter 'J'," and the creative bonuses just keep coming from there. And remember, you can do this game for a project for your own school if you want!
- Q. We're so busy already. Will this just add to their workload?
- A. Not at all. Most of the missions only take minutes a day to complete, like come up with a team catchphrase or submit ideas for improving the school. With our storyline and humor, everyone will be laughing, having a good time, and relieving stress, not adding to it.
- Q. Are there any blackout dates?
- A. Only December 10th. This is the date each year we wake up early and wait by the phone for a call from the Nobel Prize committee. Other than that, just pick out your date and we'll make it happen!
